SUITE is a collaboration between guitarist Marco Papa and clarinettist AnnaMarie Ignarro, both exploring improvisation and the avant-garde. This project unites Marco's original compositions with sections of free improvisation, called Abstracts, allowing the music to develop itself in a continuum of about 40 minutes. The four compositions: A Glimpse of Reality, Secret Window, A Reflection of Honesty and Why are you Running to Nowhere? are snapshots of life posing introspective questions concerning the experiences and behaviours of human beings. The abstracts however, are concepts developed through the parameters of musicality, timbre and texture. SUITE was recorded live in Prato, Italy in September 2017.
